    Delivery and collection 7 days a week between 8:00 – 18:00 by appointment only.
    Holiday Guides and informative brochures about the holiday destination can be collected at the pick-up station.

  • Luggage handling - Clients can leave their hard cover suitcase to our Rental station for their vacation time

Rates Do NOT include:

  • Fuel Petroleum (DIESEL) is not included in the price. Diesel tank is full at the pick-up and it has to be returned full. Clients can choose to purchase a refueling service if they wish to return a vehicle with unfilled diesel tank.
    Gas is not included in the price. Both bottles are full upon pick-up and we charge for each used bottle. No charges if returned full. Gas bottles can be purchased in advance.
    Blankets and pillows are not part of standard accessories but can be rented separately.
  • Parking at our depot - We charge EUR 8 per rental day if a client leaves their car at the rental station. Subject to availability.

Fuel Purchase Option
Touring Cars rentals commence with a full tank of diesel. A refueling charge of EUR 22 + EUR 2 per liter will be applied to a rental if a vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of diesel. Client may also choose the Fuel Purchase Option. Fuel Purchase Option is available at the time of rental and allows clients to return vehicle without refueling diesel tank.

Total cost is based on self-service diesel price in the area and EUR 22 surcharge. This option allows a client the convenience of not having to refuel the vehicle prior to returning.

Pick up is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Rental stations are open 08.00 to 18.00 by appointment
Any pick up / drop off between 18:00hrs and 08:00hrs will incur an additional fee of EUR 149

Please Note: If vehicle returns on the last rental day before 11:00 AM,
there is a Early Return Discount of EUR 50. This Discount has to be requested upon booking.

Helsinki, Oslo, Rygge (Moss) & Stockholm depots are open all year round*
Reykjavik, Rovaniemi, Tallin & Trondheim depots are open from 01 May to 30 September.

If you drop off later than you specified return time, you are subject to a fee of EUR 50 for each hour that you are late.
The Client has to give a minimum 24-hour notice of being late or the surcharge will be issued. However, it is essential to confirm any changes in the scheduled service times with Touring Cars. In addition to above mentioned fee, Touring Cars may charge monetary losses from the client, if the client returns the vehicle later  then scheduled and if this delays the next rental of the rental vehicle.

Winter Rentals:
Rentals are available throughout the winter period.
Water system: Client will be responsible to make sure that rental vehicle is heated properly at all times. Client takes full responsibility for water system damages. Additional winter conditions are given at rental.

Winter Tyres are mandatory in Scandinavia between 01 December and 28 February.
During this period winter tyres are included at no additional cost. If you wish to have winter tyres fitted outside of these dates, an additional charge of GBP 43 per rental applies.

One Way Fee:
Selected One Way Specials available during Off Season.One-way rentals include picking up a vehicle in one city and airport. One Way service fees includes 2 gas bottles.

Drop Off only Destination:
Bergen, Ivalo and Kuopio are available only as one-way rentals. Touring Cars does not have rental stations in these destinations. Moreover, Pick-up has to be in one of our four rental stations. Clients who wish to book one-way package between one-way rental station have to sign one deductible for us and we reserve the right to perform a post rental check-up on the rental vehicle. We will refund the deductible if there are no new damages on the vehicle.

Insurance Coverage:
The insurance coverage is divided into two different parts: a compulsory and collision insurance. The compulsory insurance covers all the damages or accidents to the third party caused by you. The second one is the collision insurance, which covers damages to your own rental vehicle caused by an accident.

Collision insurance covers damages to the vehicle due to an accident, fire or theft. The insurance is NOT valid if the vehicle is being used under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, or if damage is caused due to reckless behavior . insurance.

The collision insurance does not cover any interior damages that are not caused by a traffic accident.

Client will be given details of the current defects on the damage form. Client is responsible to discover the damages prior of signing the document. Client is liable for all new damages found on the vehicle upon the end of client’s rental period. All new damages, which were not marked on the agreement upon pick-up, will be charged from client. This notice is given for clients’ protection.

All Touring Cars rentals include a TC Basic insurance with corresponding deductible. In a case of an accident caused to the rental vehicle, the client needs to pay maximum the deductible per damage, per accident, per lost items or per punitive sanctions (please see the returning policy). The collision insurance covers the part of the monetary loss, which exceeds deductible value per damage. Insurance deductible does not cover interior damages which are not caused by traffic accident.

The minimum reduction period for lowering deductible is 7 rental days or equivalent monetary payment (10 days in TC Total). All additional drivers need to be named for the insurance for it to be valid. If a non-designated driver drives the rental vehicle TC Basic insurance terms and conditions apply with corresponding deductible value per damage. All other rental and insurance conditions remain the same.

Vehicle insurances are valid only in Touring Cars rental station countries, vehicle cannot be taken abroad without special agreement with Touring Cars.

Touring Cars offers three insurance packages for client to choose from to reduce the amount of deductible.

TC Plus Insurance Option

Will reduce the deductible to GBP 1,100 per damage for a payment of only GBP 9 per rental day.

TC Premium Insurance Option

Costs GBP 19 per rental day and it will reduce the deductible to GBP 600 per damage. The minimum reduction period is 7 rental days or equivalent monetary payment. All additional drivers need to be named for the insurance for it to be valid. If a non-designated driver drives the rental vehicle TC Basic insurance terms and conditions apply with a GBP 2,500 deductible per damage. All other rental and insurance conditions remain the same.

Windshield & Tyre Coverage for EUR 7 per day (minimum charge GBP 43) for 0 deductible for one windshield or tyre damage. ** For second or more damages, repair costs according to normal prices. Deposit according to TC Basic, Plus, Premium or Total policy.

Security Deposit:
- Deposit is required upon departure to ensure that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was upon pick-up.
- We will authorize one full deductible from client’s card at pick-up. The client’s credit limit ought to be sufficient to cover the deductible and other purchases that they plan to make during their holiday. Authorization will be cancelled if no new damages are discovered at drop-off.
- All authorized drivers have to present an individual credit card for insurance purposes.
- Credit Card has to be valid minimum 6 months after drop-off. The Credit card’s credit limit must be sufficient for required deposit amount.

Accepted Credits Cards are Visa, Mastercard and Amex. No cash or other credit cards are accepted !

Driver Requirements:
Minimum age is 18 years, and must have held a full driver's license for driving passenger cars for at least one year. The main driver must also present an acceptable credit card (not debit card).
Additional Drivers:
Minimum age is 18 years, and must have held a full driver's license for driving passenger cars for at least one year. Additional Drivers must be present at the time of pick up, and must present a credit card (in their own name).

Traveling abroad with Touring Cars Motorhomes:
  • Client has a permission to travel in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) with the Touring Cars motorhome.Traveling in Estonia is permitted only for rental vehicles hired from Touring Cars Tallinn.Traveling to Russia and Eastern Europe is not allowed.You are obligated to ask a permission from Touring Cars when planning to travel outside the Nordic countries. Outside the Nordic countries the insurance deductibles are two times higher and special insurance requirements ought to be followed. Touring Cars obtains a green card insurance document, if you wish to enter agreed Central and Western European countries, but additional traffic insurance might be required. If so, it may be bought at customs.
  • When traveling to Central Europe and Western Europe, minimum level of damage deductible is 1 200 euros.

The vehicle must be returned clean inside, with empty waste water tank and lavatory cassette.

  • Failure to comply will entail a cleaning surcharge of GBP 149 and a labour charge of EUR 60 per hour.
  • Animals are not allowed in the campers, the penalty fee is GBP 174

Winter Travel InformationQ. Are your rental stations open the whole year round
Our stations in Helsinki, Rovaniemi, Stockholm and Oslo are open all year round.
Reykjavik rental station is open June 1st - September 30th.

Q. Do you have some special agreements for the winter rentals
Yes, we do. The use of motorhome in winter time takes a little bit more effort than in summer time, and therefore we have created Winter rules which we go carefully through with the customer before starting the tour. The customer will also have a copy of the rules to have with and check that everything is correct during the trip.

Q. During which period do you include winter tires on your rentals
The winter tires are mandatory in Scandinavia during 01.12 - 28.2 and during this period all our rental vehicles have winter tires.
The customer can have winter tires also beside this period but then we charge €60 to change the tires plus €5 /each rental day for the use of the tires.

Q. I'm a little bit conserned to be cold if I rent a motorhome during the winter time. Can you assure that the motorhome stays warm also when the temperature goes below zero
Our vehicles are specially planned for Nordic conditions and therefore there is an extra heating possiblity as a standard equipment. Consequently, the motorhome is suitable also for the cold winter weather and you will stay warm during your winter holiday.

Q. Is it possible to pick up a motorhome in Helsinki to visit Rovaniemi and go back to Helsinki in winter? Are there any campgrounds which are open between these two places during winter
The roads in Scandinavia are maintained during the winter and usually drivable. We suggest you reserve a bit more time to travel during winter than summer. Read more about during which time our vehicles have winter tires above. There are caravan areas near the ski resorts where you can have electricity and water. Most of the campgrounds though are open only during summer season

.Q. Do you have any winterized motorhomes which would allow to use the water system (shower etc.) in winter ? And where can I take water and charge electricity
There are restictions when using the water systerm during the cold winter months. In vehicles where the water system is heated it is the clients responsibility to take care of the proper heating of the vehicle at all times if water is held in the system. You can have water and electricity either at the caravan areas at ski resorts or at gas stations.

Q. Does the motorhome have electricity or gas heating or both ? Which kind of heating will be used when the motorhome is standing and which kind when it is on the move
Our vehicles have both electricity and gas heating. You can use electricity heating when you are connected to electricity (for example at a camping site).
Gas heating is recommended to be used only when being stationary.

Pick Up and Drop Off:
If you have requested an airport transfer for pick-up, you will be collected from the arrival hall and taken to the depot for pick up - vehicle hand over does not take place at the Airport. Vehicle return also takes place at the rental station. If you have booked an airport transfer for drop-off, you will be driven to the airport after the rental vehicle has been cleared. Airport transfers are confirmed 30-60 minutes after arrival time and drop-off time is confirmed minimum 3 hours before departure time.

- If you order a hotel transfer for pick-up, we will drive them to our rental station, where pick-up procedures will be performed by our staff. Similarly, if they book a hotel transfer for drop-off, they have to bring the vehicle back to our rental station first. After their rental vehicle has been cleared, they will receive a transfer to their hotel.

Roadside Help:

  • 24 hour telephone assistance - We provide customer service to clients 24 hours a day during their holiday. 
  • Key replacement (additional fee) - Lost keys? No worries, we will send replacement keys or a locksmith.  
  • Flat tire (additional fee) - If the vehicle’s spare tire is inflated and serviceable, it will be installed to replace a flat tire. If no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed in accordance with the towing provision.  
  • Towing - If the vehicle is inoperable (unrelated to an accident or fault of driver’s behavior) towing charges will be covered at no additional charge.
  • Jump start (additional fee) - A battery boost will be provided in an attempt to start the vehicle.
  • Fuel delivery (additional fee) - A limited supply of gasoline will be delivered to the vehicle to enable you to reach the nearest open service station. Up to 15 liters.

Roadside help available at all locations in the Scandinavia. Local service charges / fees will apply.

The customer is responsible for checking engine oil, fluids and coolant levels at each refueling as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately. Instructions and procedures for maintenance expense reimbursement are provided at pick-up. Clients may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to negligence in vehicle operation or failure to provide normal maintenance. In the event of the vehicle being in breakdown repair for 24 hours or more, through no fault of the customer, our responsibility to customer is limited to a refund of daily rate or portion thereof. Client is required to take their rental vehicle to the closest repair location stated by Touring Care Roadside Assistance. Daily refund will be issued only for the days that a vehicle is broken down due to no fault of a client. No refund will be issued if a client violates the rental agreement. Moreover, Touring Cars will not issue refunds for the whole rental period. Diesel reimbursements will be granted only on severe cases.

Fuel, Service and Maintenance:
You are required to pay for your fuel. The car hire is to inform the renter the correct quality fuel to be used. Vehicles are handed over with a full tank and are to be returned with a full tank. Please check the tank is full befre leaving the depot on pick up. The renter is liable for damages caused by usage of incorrect quality fuel. During the rental period you are responsible for taking care of normal car maintenance, such as e.g. the engine oil quantity, the radiator and battery fluids, the tire pressures, etc.

Cases of Malfunction, Damage and Theft:
a) You shall immediately inform the depot about malfunctions appearing in the motorhome or about damages to the motorhome as well as about theft. You must also inform the Police immediately about theft. Subsequently the depot shall inform you about the actions to be taken because of the incident. However, without informing the depot you are entitled to have the car repaired for a maximum value of 50 euros, provided it is necessary for continued driving. In such cases the you shall acquire a report from the repair company detailing the performed repair actions and the payment.
b) In traffic accident cases the you are always obliged immediately to submit a damage report to the depot. The report is to be written on the accident report form available in the motorhome. In cases of unclear culpability you shall inform the police. The police are always to be informed in cases of personal injury. The police are always to be informed about deer ccidents by you, who also has to submit to the depot a certificate given by the police and stating the notification.
c) If you neglect the above mentioned notifications, you are liable towards the depot for possible damage caused by this negligence.

Early Returns:

There are no refunds for early returns of the vehicle.

Changes and Cancellation Fees:
- 45 days or more prior to departure: 5%
- 44 days to 30 days prior to departure 30 %
- 29 days to 16 days prior to departure 55 %
- 15 days to 1 day prior to departure 100 %
- Departure day or no-show 100 %

  Children travelling in Motorhomes Traveling with Children in a motorhome
A child whose height is less than 135 cm has to be in a type approved safety device when travelling. However, children under 3 years have to be travelling always in a baby seat, meaning that if a baby seat cannot be installed in to the vehicle children under 3 years cannot travel in the vehicle.

All children whose height is under 135 cm must be seated in a child seat or a booster seat when travelling in a motorhome.
