Travel the Country with a Campground Membership

If you have found RV Links, it's clear you love the RV lifestyle. Whether it's road tripping across the country or setting up camp alongside a pristine lake, RV-ing is a great way to travel the country, vacationing anywhere and everywhere on a budget. And did you know that, by securing a campground membership (similar in many ways to a timeshare), you can often glean access to dozens, even hundreds of camping resorts, all across the country?

Campground Memberships Are Like Timeshares, Only Better! The best place to find these campground memberships for sale is on the online timeshare resale market. While these memberships work somewhat differently than traditional vacation properties, they do allow owners certain annual or biennial rights to campsites, and as such, can be classified in the same family of vacation ownership. Campground memberships are similar to vacation club memberships. The same way that ownership of a Hyatt timeshare would give owners access to all the Hyatt timeshares in the network, ownership with specific campground membership programs generally offers members the opportunity to travel to, and use the facilities of, other campground resorts in the network.

Go Anywhere; Many Arrangements Even Offer Unlimited Usage However, campground memberships do differ from traditional timeshares in that, many times, they will offer owners unlimited usage. That means that you could spend your spring break camping in a New Mexico timeshare, a weekend in a California timeshare and, perhaps, a few days in Alabama timeshare all for one annual or biennial fee (called a maintenance fee.) American Campgrounds Incorporated, for example, is an affiliate of Coast-to-Coast Resorts (another campground timeshare program) and allows owners to choose from twelve campground resorts around the country. And these campground resorts don't require owners to lodge in a recreational vehicle. Tenting is more than welcome at most sites, if you're so inclined.

Save on Your Purchase with Resale
As mentioned above, you will find the best deals on your campground membership on the online timeshare resale market. That's because, with resale, you will be buying from a previous owner, rather than directly from the resort corporation. Additionally, because the online market is fairly competitive, individuals selling timeshare will drive their already low prices even lower.
